A salary figure needs context

“How much should I earn in Qatar?” usually leads to another question: for which job, at what level, and with which benefits? careers.qa puts individual salary reports on one chart so you can inspect those details instead of relying on a single average.

This is an independent educational project built around self-reported information. It is intended to help people ask better questions about pay. It is not an official wage survey, recruitment agency or promise of what an employer will offer.

Search by role and industry first

On the homepage, search a job title and select the relevant industry. Open the individual dots to read the salary basis and benefit notes. Similar titles can cover different responsibilities, so look for the closest work rather than the closest spelling.

For questions such as “marketing manager salary in Qatar” or “cloud architect salary in Doha,” the most useful answer may be a few carefully read examples. If there are no close matches, the honest answer is that the sample does not yet answer your question.

Country of origin adds context, not a verdict

You can filter reported origins and see how salaries vary within a group. This can expose the limits of broad stereotypes. It cannot establish a nationality pay effect, explain every difference, or tell someone what they deserve to earn.

The initial dataset mixes basic salaries and inclusive packages. Some roles, reporting dates and benefit periods are incomplete. Those limitations remain relevant even when a chart is easy to use.

What happens when you add your salary

The contribution form asks for country of origin, total monthly cash including fixed allowances, industry, role and permission to publish those fields anonymously. Do not put your name or employer in the job-title field. Non-cash perks and annual bonuses are excluded from the new monthly-cash amount.

An accepted contribution updates the live chart and metrics. Your personal comparison excludes your own contribution and shows how many matching reports are lower, including the number of peers. A low position in this sample does not by itself establish that you are underpaid.

There is no visitor account. A private browser cookie and connection-based limits reduce duplicates, but cannot guarantee one entry per person. Salary publication and newsletter signup are separate choices.

Why contribution matters

A sample becomes more useful when more different roles and career levels are represented. More reports do not automatically remove selection bias or make every entry accurate. They can, however, give readers more comparable examples and make gaps easier to see.

The next step is practical: explore the homepage, inspect the reports closest to your work, then contribute if you are comfortable publishing the requested fields. Use the evidence to prepare questions for recruiters and employers, not as a substitute for judgment.

Check the figures for yourself

Our analysis uses an unverified initial sample. Live contributions can change the explorer. Read our purpose, limitations and disclaimer and inspect individual package notes before making comparisons.
