Why we built careers.qa
careers.qa is an independent project for educational and informational purposes. We want people to have more useful conversations about pay, with visible examples and the context to question them. We are not an official statistics service or recruitment agency.
What the information means
Most information is self-reported and has not been independently verified. The initial sample is not representative of Qatar’s workforce. Reporting dates are unconfirmed. Currency and monthly frequency are inferred for many original entries, and figures mix basic pay with inclusive packages. New contributions record total monthly cash including fixed allowances.
Ranges use midpoints. Medians describe the submitted sample, not a market rate. Industry labels sometimes combine job families and employer sectors. Small groups, missing context, errors and selection bias can affect every comparison. Nationality correlations do not establish causation; a chart position does not establish that someone is underpaid.
Our disclaimer
